Episode 1:
"Luton Island"
A lottery win gives a chance to move away from the daily grind and a new start for Steven, his fiancée Denise, and Mum.
But after Steven's disastrous first meeting with Denise's father, the Mayor, can he avoid being thrown out of his new home? Bee keeping has never seemed so attractive..
Episode 2:
"A Job, A Job"
Employment beckons, unfortunately for Steven. The loss of the remainder of his Lottery win means he has to rejoin the working population. Trouble is, there aren't many employment opportunities on such a tiny island. Sometimes you really just have to go above and beyond to get that job...
Episode 3:
"Going Green"
Mayor Brian is keen to set the island up as a carbon-neutral paradise, and as such devises a competition for the local people to bring forth their energy-saving ideas.
Christine's fantastic inventions seem set to change the face of the island, and indeed the world; if it wasn't for that stranded coachload of the elderly roaming freely around the moors...
Episode 4:
"The Visitor"
Denise is fed up of Steven's immaturity. Eager to get him to accept responsibility, she arranges for a 'troubled' child to stay with them for a week. Will the new-found responsibility give Steven the kick he needs, or will he just try to avoid going anywhere near the 'orrible child? Godfrey thinks he can help.
Episode 5:
"The Bank Of McNasty"
A problem with gambling leaves Steven in debt, but local villain McNasty has a solution... when Steven defaults on the first payment and finds an unpleasant surprise on his bed, will McNasty (one well known to the local constabulary), really take him to court?
Episode 6:
"Hospital"
An accident lands Steven in hospital, overlooked by Matron with her rod of iron and will of steel.
A meeting with fellow patient Harry leads to an escape plan.
Episode 7:
"Army Boots"
Steven's fiancée Denise is getting fed up with his childishness. However, when a practical joke at work backfires horribly on him and Steven is called up for National Service, can a secret mission deep into enemy territory be the answer?
Episode 8:
"Steven's (Not) Got Talent"
Why has Steven been trotting off to the Mainland recently on the supposed premise of family illnesses? Does it have anything to do with the steps he taken to ensuring nobody on the island can recieve TV from the mainland...?
Episode 9:
"Godfrey's Lament"
A death in such a tight-knit community is always hard to deal with. Especially when said deceased person refuses to stay quiet, and insists on helping sort out their own estate.
Episode 10:
"In Orbit"
As Denise joins the first all-woman crew to the new British Space Station, Steven ponders the idea of Equality (or rather, his old-fashioned views on women drivers/rocket pilots). Meanwhile, his mum Christine has joined the Women's Institute, and started a rebellion on the Island.
Episode 11:
"The Legend Of The Hel'Ree"
An elderly couple of newcomers to the island alert Steven to The Legend of The Hel'Ree, a terrible creature living under the island which feasts upon those unfortunate enough to get in it's way. Steven decides in his terror that the best defence is a good offence, and goes to hunt down the Hel'Ree.
Episode 12:
"An Island Christmas"
Steven's first Christmas on Southdrift Island looks to be a perfect affair, when his future parents-in-law Mayor Brian & his wife Mary invite everyone over for Christmas Dinner.
Still, there are always those criminal elements out to spoil it for the rest of us...
