South Drift Island...

...is the home of Steven Munn; a socially inept old-fashioned kind of a man in his late 20's. He shares a house on this little island off the coast of England with his fiancée Denise.

Originally from Luton, England, a lottery win enabled him to buy a little house on South Drift Island for himself and his fiancée (and another for his Mother Christine; anything to keep her quiet), and live the millionaire lifestyle...for about two days. Sadly, Steven's money management skill is only matched by his gullibility, and as such lost everything very quickly.

Having to rejoin the working population came as a shock to a man who thought he was made for life, but after some handy blackmail, he landed a job as Personal Secretary to his future Father-in-law; the Mayor of the island.

Surrounded by a nagging fiancée, his Mother who seems out to get him at every turn and a Father-in-law boss who would quite happily see him sacked and deported, it's easy to see how someone could get worn down by modern everyday life.

Luckily, Steven's made of stronger stuff. His never-say-die attitude and pig-headed inability to see reality makes him unbreakable.

However, he is not too keen on the posh new neighbours.
